Adult Dental Care
…
Surrey NHS Community Dental Service provides dental care to adults with additional needs.
We regularly engage with care teams, carers, social workers and family members when providing oral care for our patients.
You can access the resources we routinely use when designing oral care plans for our patients and their care teams.

Dr Barman's Tooth Brush
Dr Barman’s is a three headed tooth brush which cleans all surfaces of the teeth simultaneously.
These may be recomended by the dental team for patients who find it hard to tolerate brushing for long periods of time or those who have limited manual dexterity.

Flossettes
Flossettes are small lengths of dental floss secured to a handle.
These can help clean between the teeth. Flossettes can be useful for patients with reduced manual dexterity or for carers trying to clean between their client’s teeth.

Denture Brush
Denture brushes should be used to help clean dentures.
